191 | yellow and red

Tonight we had thunder and lightning and whilst I am usually fine with the idea of taking my umbrella and my 350D wrapped in a plastic bag out for a photo walk - I decided to see what I could shoot from outside my window. Amsterdam summer rain is a force to be reckoned with. When I first arrived here it was summer and a colleague told me that if you can see between the drops - it is not really raining.

A passing car stopped to drop someone off and I took advantage of the headlights with this shot. I don't think that it would have worked so well without the primary yellow and red of the two bikes. The golden dots on the ground are dead petals from the tree.
